Job Responsibilities

Job Purpose

To perform all manual operations related to packaging while performing visual inspection of products in order to particulate matter, defects and other non-conformities to ensure full packaging compliance and container/closure integrity.

Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Inspects filled products for visual defects, container/closure integrity, particulate matter, and other non-conformities to ensure compliance with the set policies and procedures and meet production targets.

Operates, troubleshoots and changes inspection equipment (whenever applicable) including changing machine parts/settings, monitoring line speed and other operation indicators to ensure that machines are operated correctly and as needed.

Performs product returns to the warehouse of non-inspected products and completes inspection documentation in order to review packaging records and informs supervisors of maintenance and/or safety issues, if any.

Verifies packaging material dispensed to the area/work station, including the checking and counting of actual product that is being filled to ensure that materials are received according to the respective Bill of Materials.

Maintains accurate records, i.e., log books, raw material inventories, reconcilliations and batch records to stay up to date with the order status.

Moves raw materials as required for mixing, weighing and storage to prepare cleaning solution batches and production batches designated by the department.

Transfers finished batches to specified area for further processing and collects samples to perform other quality checks as necessary.

Continuous Improvement

Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice', improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.


Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Manufacturing to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.

Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Bachelors' in Manufacturing or related field OR High School Diploma


0-2 years relevant experience in laboratories or as an operator.
